Biden’s policy on China is now outright appeasement

Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the White House claim to be pleased by his trip to Beijing: President Xi Jinping actually met with him and agreed to continue talking.

Thing is, it seems China will only deign to keep talking as long as Washington keeps appeasing it with actual concessions.

Blinken didn’t even get his central ask, restoring military-to-military communication channels that Beijing cut last year but the Bidenites paint as the best way to avoid stumbling into a war.

(Indeed, the Chinese Communists still won’t even meet with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.)

Crucially, Washington had to bribe Beijing to even get this meeting: It has played down Beijing’s intensifying intelligence-gathering (the Cuba spy base, the spy balloon, China’s “secret police” stations inside our country) and is delaying the declassifying of intelligence on COVID’s origins.

It’s also stalling planned restrictions on investment in China linked to its defense industry and on export of US semiconductor tech that could boost Beijing’s military.

...

Blinken was set to go to Beijing in February before the spy-balloon incident (which the administration tried to keep from the US public!) forced him to cancel.

Why did Washington need to do anything to grease the skids to get the trip back on?

Worse, during the visit, Blinken gave Beijing a free pass on the balloon, too: “That chapter should be closed,” he said.

...

Joe Biden himself said the balloon was “carrying two freight cars’ worth of spying equipment.”

Suddenly, it doesn’t matter,

Biden’s policy on China is now outright appeasement

The word "now" in the sentence above can and should be removed. When hasn't Biden's policy on China been outright appeasement?

Best comment ever on this character:
Compared to Nevil Chamberlain, the Biden/Blinken team make him look like a a strong historical figure.

You use "appeasement" like it's a bad thing.

What was Chamberlain supposed to do under the circumstances presented to him in 1938?

And for that matter, what is whoever is making decisions using the name of "Biden" supposed to do now?

I’d say it is beyond appeasement. They act like the US is a vassal state, which begs the question: how many in the Biden regime are compromised by the CCP?

When Blinken outright told China “we don’t support an independent Taiwan, signaled we will not go to war with China, we will simply Abandon Taiwan (like Vietnam, Afghanistan and soon the Ukies) when the winds start to blow hard.

We can be sure of this after Senile Joe’s Afghanistan debacle. When do people wake up and realize anything Senile Joe touches turns to do-do and failure? This Ukie war madness will also end in total failure as his “ history “ shows.

I will not shed any tears on the fracturing of the EU nor the fracturing of NATO.
I will however loudly proclaim our Founding Fathers were right, again….” Do not get entangled foreign affairs”….it rings truer every day.

Maybe the right way to look at this is that the only way that Biden can talk to Xi privately is to send a private messenger. Whether Blinken is there to exchange information or merely to take orders (or else bribe info will be dropped) .... I can’t tell from behind my keyboard.

Today’s Presidents are monitored 24 hours a day for their records, and even their conversations. See Col. Vindman.

The democrat party rigged the election for a reason.

No surprise what the party is made up of.

The money sent to the Biden Cabal was the best money ever spent—they are getting all they want and need without the loss of a single life. They will get the US Navy to withdraw and we will let them buy bases all over the Pacific and now even in the Americas. They own the Panama Canal and can close it at their leisure. They just got Taiwan handed to them like we gave them Tibet and Hong Kong. Next we will sell out South Korea and Vietnam. Japan will have no choice but to sign a pact with Xi/Putin. Wait till the chickens come home to roost and the USA is on the ropes.

I'm sure, the food was authentic and he probably brought Joe a doggie bag.
