If he had stuck to doing the best job he could in Florida, he would have been golden.

He got a lot of pushback / denial from DeSantis fans. But most of them have now soured on DeSantis because of the way DeSantis has conducted this campaign.
Is Trump’s presumed selection of horrible, immoral, deep-state POS DeSantis for VP (if he’d just remained “loyal”) another example of his skill at selecting personnel?
Or would DeSantis have somehow been rescued from being a horrible, immoral, deep-state POS simply by becoming Trump’s VP (like Mike Pence did lol)?
