“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it. (Remarks to the White House Conference on Small Business on August 15, 1986)”

the solution is simple: Government should let the taxpayers keep their cash and insist that private companies raise and spend private money.

Shades of Solindra!

The feral government is out of control.

They have no business extorting money from taxpayers to finance globalist pipe dreams.

“Government should let the taxpayers keep their cash and insist that private companies raise and spend private money.”

Reason drags out their favorite hobby horse while demonstrating that they don’t do research.

Lordstown is/was a private sector company financed by selling stock.

Rivian is laying off another six percent of its workforce

https://www.engadget.com/rivian-layoffs-184047174.html

And these thieves are still getting $1,500,000,000 of stolen cash from the Georgia taxpayers.

Government makes LaCosaNostra look like the Cub Scouts when it comes to stealing other people’s money.

There will be many more versions of SOLYNDRA.
That is what liberals do. They are not practical, they go by wishful thinking and utopia. they are paranoid about MAN MADE global warming. Thanks to natural global warming, the last ice age was dissolved, and so will all future ice ages. Ice age will kill 100 times more life than global warming. Probably what happened to Dinosaurs.

It would probably be less expensive to pay companies to NOT build these dysfunctional EVs. We still pay farmers to NOT grow certain crops.

Politicians and clean energy nuts are going to keep pushing a technology that doesn’t work. Many companies are going to bankrupt over it. A huge EV factory is being built in central Indiana and I know without a doubt that it will go belly up within 5 years, max. They’ve been pouring thousands into it too. I just have to shake my head.....

They teach this model in business schools. Called “subsidy farming”. Create a “green” business, collect subsidies, pay yourself millions, go bankrupt. Rinse and repeat. Or retire to the Bahamas. Your choice.

The dot com boom and bust was much less expensive in terms of tax dollars being wasted. This urge to build a new Tower of Babel in order to touch the debit card of God will not end well. Just a matter of time.
