RALEIGH — A detailed lawsuit filed by a former Apex City Councilman claims that North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland County) started an affair with his wife and engaged in group sex with other people seeking political favor.
Scott Riley Lassiter is suing Moore and an unnamed John Doe defendant for several claims, including alienation of affections and civil conspiracy.
Channel 9 obtained the court documents, which allege that Moore “used his position as Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives to initiate contact and develop a personal relationship with Mrs. Lassiter, despite knowing that she was married to Plaintiff.”

Yah, whenever the GOP is winning or obtains a majority isn’t it funny how a story about a lawsuit comes out. And that lawsuit always features a claim aimed at getting someone to resign so that the dems gain back power.
This is LAWFARE. Can’t win at the polls, so sue. Our opponents disagree with us, so jail them.
Sooner or later, but really, sooner, the GOP is going to have to engage in this themselves and/or tell the dems that regardless of lawsuits or investigations, they are still supporting their man or woman and that they are not resigning.

Scott Lassiter was a young Republican on the Town Council. Failed run for Mayor, IIRC he got into a little legal issue (not sure but a DWI or some such) which didn’t help his bid. More recently was running for the NC House until the state redrew lines and eliminated his district. MacGregor Downs? Nice digs for an “Assistant Principal”
None of it true— and the skank wife does sleep around. This is opportunistic LawFare from... a former city council member of a bedroom town near Raleigh? Really? Pretty low down the food chain- and the guy is hustling. Notice his wife is not suing, just the deranged so called husband (who is probably a swinger just like his “wife”).
Moore has a supermajority, and has broken the back of the total demonrat control of NC— the judges (one particular fave of Cooper’s shot down twice now— tried to run for Senate against Budd. Also— running the current AG out of his job for all kinds of election fraud centered in Durham County.. the one county that delivered the final margin for Cooper’s governorship. There is a great deal of good being done to fight the teacher’s unions and the grip on gubmint workers in NC running nearly everything. Farmers, private industry really have take back power through the revolution there. Moore has been a thorn in their side all the years- so now they are desperate. See: Lt.Gov. Robinson- one more example for the People down in NC.

Who is not in office. This doosh is not only in office but head of North Carolina state government. Why is it so hard to control yourself. They know they’ll be caught.
