I’m not convinced of that. If they can be used to by the dictatorship to further enhance their power, they’ll be kept around. But they will be very tightly controlled.
They might serve some purpose for a dictatorship, but I sure can't think of one.
That said, there are plenty of steady gay people like Peter Thiel and Douglas Murray.
