“Oh RFK Will win the general...”
Dream on. I’m sorry, but he’s a mess on policy so he pleases nobody once they learn all his positions. But that’s not his greatest weakness. His greatest weakness is that he just doesn’t look and sound presidential, and the American people are still very superficial about such things.
You are welcome to think so, but if the general by some miracle RFK gets the nomination, he will win the general election quite handily.
The election will instantly go from being a populist outsider vs the establishment, which favors Trump in a Trump V Biden matchup,to two populists outsiders if it is RFK vs Trump.
If that is the dynamic, RFK will win. The people who support Trump for his populist messaging will have an option, and many in the middle will take it.
It will take a miracle for RFK to overcome the corruption of the democrat party primary process to get the nomination, but if he gets it, he will be the next president.
If you listen to RFK Jr and Trump when it comes to the broad brush items they are largely delivering the same message, but using different language. Kenneth uses terms like captive agencies, Trump uses terms like “the swamp”. But they are both saying the same general things.
Washington isn’t working for you the people…
They have differences on policy, but on the broad brush items, that the fed is corrupt and not working, they are the same. Trump in a Trump Biden race has that narrative and voter all to himself… in an RFK Jr V Trump race that populace voter has a choice, and many many many will take it.
I say all of the above as a Trump supporter, and one of the earliest of them on this site.
RFK’s got has to get past the Primary, if he wins the Primary, he will be the next President. However as I’ve said many times the establishment is going to do everything in their power to stop him from winning the primary. What they have done to Trump for 7-8 will look like child’s play compared to what they will do to RFK Jr to keep him from being the nominee.
