Two is a premeditated “controlled reaction”. More than two and/or emptying the magazine is “in fear for your life” action.

Even cops empty the magazine without hesitation because it is the bast way to neutralize the threat.

So assuming he fired a 1911 Colt at the terrorist, he still had four bullets left in the magazine. That proves he was NOT in fear-for-your-life mode, so therefore it was murder./s Moral of the story: Always empty your magazine into an oncoming terrorist and put on a panicked expression and keep squeezing the trigger for a minute or two after you drop the perp. Otherwise, Oppenheimer will demand you be prosecuted./s

And cops can hit others and not worry about jail or losing everything. Regular people do.

That's not how we were trained. Two rounds to center mass and then check all around you to make sure the world is a safe place. Then reassess the threat. When I see officers doing mag dumps it makes me cringe. Watch the YouTube channel PoliceActivity to see some really crazy stuff.
