Assange is a political prisoner plain and simple. I remember stories of people locked up for years in the Tower of London. Julian Assange is now one of those guys living that reality.
What he did was publish leaked information. Like the NYT and the WaPo have done for years without any ramifications. Jailed on a pretense of a rape charge, that has now been erased, because the girl probably died of old age now. What a travesty. I used to think of America as the “good guys”.
