A Pennsylvania poacher who allegedly killed a Pittsburgh suburb’s beloved bald eagle later turned themselves in — but locals are fuming at the lack of information on the suspect from authorities.
“The killing of our beloved eagle had a major impact on the entire community,” Cherry Valley Lakeview Estates resident Linda Carnevali told The Post Saturday.
“We cannot fathom why anyone would want to harm our eagles and take it to the extreme of killing one.” The eagle, who Carnevali and her husband Raymond called “Sam” after the popular character “Sam the Eagle” in Disney’s Muppet Vision 3D, was allegedly shot to death in May near the Cherry Valley Dam, nearly 30 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.

Looking at a hefty fine as the person who killed it violated the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.
Hope he gets hammered.
These same devastated residents probably also attended a rally demanding more abortions.

There's your answer right there. Might as well put it in 72 point headlines. The color of crime.

Bald Eagles are still the only bird that any average master falconer cannot own without a federal permit. Absolutely majestic animal.

Not to mention getting rid of the police and no jail time for drug sellers and users.
No description of the bald eagle killer. Last time it was two illegals from Honduras. They weren’t charged by the feds because they weren’t white.
Probably saved a lot of dogs, cats. and other small furry critters. Why did he turn himself in?
Criminals are usually not dumb enough to turn themselves in.
The poacher did NOT turn themselves in. The poacher turned himself in. Or it could be written that the poacher turned himself or herself in. But it is improper English to write that the poacher turned themselves in.
They are freaking hawks! They pluck the feathers off other birds while in their talons before they start tearing meat off the live victim. Not a nice creature.
