I watched the interview on Fix just a short time ago .
At several points Bartiromo seemed pissed, very intense . DeSantis looked like he’d been spanked .
When asked what he would do to reel in a DoJ/ FBI that has gone rogue and is out if control , DeSantis made the accurate point that almost all players in the lead up to current conditions were either Trump hires , or Trump tolerated them and allowed them to remain in place, even while they were previously undermining him and stabbing him in the back. I have always thought so myself. Why did he not totally root out those subversives when he had the power and opportunity?
Kristin Davison, the COO of Never Back Down — another major DeSantis super PAC — denied that DeSantis is out of the race. 'This is a narrative that's similar to 2016 when people said, "There's no way that Donald Trump could win." They were missing what's happening on the ground... that's what's happening with DeSantis,' she told the Politico Playbook. 'Everyone's kind of missing the moment.'
Wait, WHAT?
This is the exact same anti-Trump narrative DeSantis and his supporters themselves are making every day: There's no way Trump can win.
But DeSantis's own super pac bigwig is saying that argument was proven wrong in 2016, and it's still wrong.
Oooookay then.
Talk about stepping on your own...message.
The media is spilling too much ink too early on the polls. It is summertime. Americans are more focused on their families and vacation. Wait until the debates before taking the polls too seriously.

If the deepstate charges him w/ a few spurious crimes before he even takes office, will deSantis fire Wray on day one only to hear screams of “obstruction” from every quarter? Ditto for all other bureaucrats in the “community” he tries to remove?
They are going to get something to stick. Is it unfair and abusive of the justice system? Yes, but it's happening. Will it be a felony? Will it come with jail time? That's all unknown, but it's near guaranteed that at least one charge among all of these different cases is going to come back "guilty". We should all absorb that and accept it as the baseline environment for the primary and general election.

Our enemies are operating under the rules of war. Under those rules, how you win is irrelevant.

I would seriously hope that any Republican winning office would fire every person who he can to sell, US attorneys, which Trump did not do, all of these department political appointees, which he did not do. How might things to been different had trumped cleaned house when he came in office, much like previous presidents?

This Regime needs to collapse. It is unreformable.
Nothing new and better can be built until the decadent parasite of the Globohomo American Empire collapses.
The best case scenario is Trump and Repubs win, and some of the worst Blue areas secede.
More likely, a collapse of legitimacy from a more blatantly stolen election, defeat in war and a collapse of the US dollar leads to the collapse of the DC Regime, and groups of States strike out on their own and build something worthy.
I think Ron was persuaded by others and let his ego push him into running now instead of waiting.
As others have echoed, I think this hurts him in ‘28 too. Like Gov. Scott Walker, I think he won’t be elected POTUS. Maybe he can grab a senator spot.

We haven't always agreed on some things, but I agree with you here.
I will be surprised if either side accepts the other winning. Be surprised if there is a fair election, etc.
And I have come to see only two long-term solutions:
1. Country divides.
2. Military declares martial law and arrests the SOBs who have corrupted the US.
