The new Florida Atlantic University Mainstreet PolCom Lab poll showed that Trump held a 20-point lead over DeSantis among registered GOP voters when asked whom they would support if the 2024 primary were held today. Half said Trump, while 30 percent said DeSantis and 7 percent said they were undecided.

Other candidates who trailed behind them include entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy at 4 percent; Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) at 3 percent; and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), former Vice President Mike Pence and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) each at 2 percent. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) followed with 1 percent.

So desantis likely won't win Florida in the primary either.

And the reason desantis isn't doing well from desantis himself -

'The media is against me'

waahhhhh!

Any thoughts here on whether Never Trumpers can succeed at keeping President Trump off any ballots (either Primary or General race) due to legal troubles? Can those efforts be negated by the Supremes in a timely enough fashion to prevent harm?

I think DeSantis should suspend his campaign and if the rats use the courts to take Trump off the board then come back in.

You can’t “unbackstab” someone.

It would be best if none of the other candidates suspend their campaigns.

If they are hanging around, the GOPe Swamp filth will still focus their attention and efforts on them, and none of them have any chance. This is good. It avoids they seeking a Plan B or C or D.

I would like to see Trump talking about the Swamp to Independents and Democrats. Total upheaval of the Washington norm is the ONLY policy in this election.

That means no tax cut discussion, no spending cut discussion, nothing about guns, nothing about abortion. Conservatism is very strictly defined as Build the Wall and Drain the Swamp.

That wins, with Independents and a few Democrats. It also establishes victory not dependent on the GOP — and that leads to non Washington nominees for the cabinet.

I actually feel sorry for DeSantis. “Favorite sons” in politics are supposed to get a pass.

When Reagan won 49 states he lost Minnesota to Mondale.

Story in 1984:
Reagan, the Republican, won 49 states and came within a whisker of winning all 50. The one that got away was Minnesota — Mondale’s home state. But even that one was close. Mondale beat Reagan there by 3,761 votes out of more than 2 million.

The GOPe plan supposedly, is to change these primary states like FL to apportion by congressional district, rather than winner take all.

Then have all sorts of candidates like Suarez who can win Maimi, other candidates with regional strength, so Trump does not get a convincing win.

Planned for other Repub controlled states as well.

Reagan could have won Minnesota too but held back in the state so as not to blow Mondale out of his home state

The rats want Trump as the nominee, they just want him so damaged he will be unelectable in the general election. It would be better if Trump dropped out. Trump was a great president but he can’t win the 5 or so swing states. And that is all that matter.

Not enough to win a general election.

Doubt it. Trump can explain it to the voters and that will be the end of that.

“Trump was a great president but he can’t win the 5 or so swing states. And that is all that matter.”

There isn’t a single R that can win the “5 or so swing states” ASIDE from Trump. DeSantis, Christie, Pence, and the rest of the candidates will be destroyed in PA, WI, MI, GA, and AZ. Nobody wants a milquetoast Republican like those listed to fight against the Rat filth! (DeSantis, if under the spell of Karl Rove & the Bush philosophy, will not preside as a conservative ... conservatives have been fooled way too many times to buy into Rove/Bush garbage).

Trump is the only one that has shown that he can win in those states.

The only things Rats have going for them are fraud related.

Quit buying media bullshit ... please!
