California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Thursday that the state will purchase and distribute a social studies textbook to students in the Temecula Valley Unified School District — where the district’s board of education voted to keep the book out of classrooms because of supplemental material from the textbook that references Harvey Milk — if the board doesn’t walk back its decision by the beginning of the upcoming school year.

I’d like Newsom to explain why kids in first to fifth grade need to know about Harvey Milk and his LGBTQ advocacy. I think I know why, but I’d like to hear him explain it.

On February 19, 1978, Milk sent a letter to then-President Jimmy Carter praising Jones, and denouncing ongoing investigations against the temple. In the letter Milk called Jones “a man of the highest character.”

I did some reading about Jones a while back. I don’t know if I wasn’t paying attention when he was around or if I had just forgotten, but I was surprised to see how well-connected he was in the political culture. He would really fit in if he were around now.
His wife should be able to direct them on how to have sex. She had sex with Harvey Weinstein on more than one occasion. LOL! Talk about willing to do anything to advance your career.
I used to live in that area before my family and I left the Peoples Republic of California for Florida. It is a Conservative Enclave along with numerous towns in the surrounding areas. A great many active duty and retired military live in that area. An easy drive to Camp Pendleton.
Newsome can buy them and distribute them. The parents can gather them and dispose of them. And they will.

The problem with California is, while there are numerous enclaves of patriotic conservatives we are completely outnumbered by the massive Leftist populations of the coastal county/city populations. Land mass/county wise California is a Purple state. Effectively, population-wise California is a deep Red state. American Patriots are simply greatly outnumbered.
I don’t agree with that. The same California which voted Nixon, Reagan, Bush and Pete Wilson just suddenly decided to all become Democrats for no reason? It was post cold war Democrats in the 1990’s deciding to do massive cheating by ballot harvesting and also using the names of illegals on voter databases.
In addition also starting in the 90’s we had large numbers of people moving to CA seeking jobs in the growing hollywood and silicon valley industries, many of them being leftists from the other 49
