Lose.
Sunk cost fallacy for now or later.
Lose.

This is borderline mass psychosis. We keep moving towards the worst outcome for everyone.
Last I checked, Ukraine was never an ally.

Side note- This war has lead me to read Bernays’ Propaganda and reread Hoffer’s The True Believer. It’s like watching a car crash that’s going to happen, and you have hundreds of times to stop it…but nope.

For Ukraine to win, Russia has to lose. Russia losing is an existential problem for Russia. That means total war to stop that from happening. That means nuclear war waged by the world's largest nulcear power. Which means you die. Unfortunately all the rest of us die too.

You are essentially saying that the United States must countenance any and all moral outrages Putin might care to perpetrate - because Russia is a nuclear power.

According to your logic, Russia's nukes trump any sense of decency and allow him to thumb his nose at the post-war order in Europe as he pleases.

So the West is supposed to surrender Ukraine (= stop aiding Ukraine), and the "dying" will stop - because otherwise Russia will rain down nuclear hellfire on the world. That's essentially your logic.

Then, when Russia subsequently attacks, say, Moldova, you'll repeat your argument. "Let the dying stop! Give Putin what he wants! The alternative is a nuclear holocaust!"

Then, after we surrender Moldova, Russia subsequently attacks yet another country. Rinse and repeat!

Regards,

Here, here.

Cheering on Ukraine “fighting for Democracy” overlooks what prompted Putin to invade Ukraine. The west provoked Putin. This is the neocon military industrial complex at work. War is business. Neocons like when business is good. Afghanistan ends and just a few months later, the war machine is up and running again with the Ukraine proxy war.

The key here is Trump’s statement that is not discussed.
If Europe invested more of their money, they would have a vested interest in stopping the conflict. They added pressure of Europe would push Putin to withdraw.

Admitted? I admit no such thing. If someone’s view of reality is your stuff belongs to them, either you give it to them or you are in a conflict. Russia put a puppet government in place and that government was removed. Whether it was done by the CIA* or locally is not relevant. The point is a significant number of the Ukrainian people are willing to fight and die because they don’t want to live under a Russian Mafia state. This doesn’t mean the Ukraine government is lily white and pure. (Look at our government, drug users and bribe takers.)

Look at the near hysterical support for Ukraine coming from the former Soviet states who also don’t want to live under a Russian Mafia state. If the West provoked this, they didn’t have to provoke very hard. “Hey, you guys want some weapons?” “Yes!!”

* Does anybody think the CIA is competent enough to do this? I spent a career dealing with government officials at numerous levels. Government is the only place most of them could have worked as they were terrible employees.

Biteme regime interests are laundering money through Ukraine, kickbacks, hiding biteme’s crimes, keeping pedo crimes on the low down, weakening America, ushering in the great reset and accusing Trump of being a Russian agent. Let the nukes fly!

The added pressure of Europe would push Putin to withdraw.

THAT is an unproven assumption. I think the point is that if Europe had as much money at stake as we do they would be a lot more motivated to settle this thing. Right now every day this war drags on we are the losers.

As much as I like Pres Trump, and support what he did and what he will accomplish in his “third” term. His comments on ending the war to save lives (said about every war) is very simplistic.

What does “peace” look like? Is it right that Putin can launch an invasion of a sovereign country and since the take over of the whole country failed does peace mean letting him keep what he took and we wipe the slate clean? No “harm” no foul?

There is a “peaceful” solution that could happen in 24 hours that would end the bloodshed, Putin pulls his troops out of Ukrainian, but that still leaves all the death and destruction unaccounted for.

That is the fair solution?

Should hitler have been able to keep what he had taken or at the very least kept Germany for the sake of peace and no more death…

Don’t recall Stalin taking that stance.

I think this invasion began as an “operation” for Putin to claim the last remaining non-NATO land around him, his attempt to regain some of the lost soviet land and power. That has failed and he has boxed himself into a corner. If he withdrawals, no matter how it is spun, it will be a defeat he will not survive either with his life or his power.

So he has no incentive to do that. If he continues with his “SMO” his country will continue to bleed parole and equipment and I think eventually the results will be the same.

His only possible way to avoid the 13th floor window “accident” is to get some kind of agreement that freezes lines.

That may be good for him but not for Ukraine. At best he gets this, but remaining Ukraine will become part of NATO and what has he ultimately accomplished?

Bit of a rant, so take it for what you will

“Not exactly General Patton material .”

Not totally relevant here, but Newsmax has short historical videos of people, places, and things. One is about Patton. He and Trump look extremely similar starting in youth. Anyhow, FWIW.

Admitted? I admit no such thing.

We know. And because you will not even consider that possiblity, any analysis of options and outcomes is deficient and we need read no further.

That's because you want to fight to our deaths for a prejudice you have.

Here is the real problem. The US is blessed by being protected by two oceans. All we need is maritime supremacy, and we are secure. All we need is investment and home to stoke our own economy and with maritime supremacy we can trade with anyone who has an accessible port. So we are prosperous.

Instead you idiot want to trade all of that for a land war on the Eurasian plain where people have been fight and dying since there were poeple to fight and die to stake out some land on an immense plain with no natural defensible boundaries until you get to the Carpathian mountains.

Fools. All of your kind.

Since the end of WWII, what country has killed the most foreign people?
What country has the most foreign military bases?
What country has fought in the most foreign countries?

The neoCON scum who make their fortunes off the military industrial complex want to pretend like Ukraine was not committing acts of war and atrocities against Russian speaking people in its formerly Eastern provinces. Ukraine is just an innocent party that dint do nuffin. They also want to pretend like an Obama / globalist regime led coupe did not happen in Ukraine several years back. Muh “democracy!” They also don’t want to talk about fagboy Zelensky pushing faggot marriage during a time of war that is his priority. Or fagboy banning opposition parties, yet we are told this is a ‘war for democracy’. Or fagboy, the non-Christian, banning Christian churches in Ukraine.

I know who I want to win. The Christians. Not the sodomites, not the globalists, not the leftists, not the groomers. And no “conservative” would be rooting for such satanic things.

neoCONs, please disclose your financial interests in this war before commenting. Because we know you have them.

Instead of uniting with Russia as part of Christendom and Western Civilization, we now have leaders who despise both of those things and demand that children across the globe be groomed.

of course, none of this even touches on the massive and horrifying corruption that was committed by the deep state in Ukraine for decades. Torture chambers that would have been illegal in the US, so they outsourced, Biden family / Burisma / child trafficking / biolabs / and God knows what else these satanic scum wwere up to.

The neoCON scum don’t want to acknowledge any of this and want it swept under the rug because “muh democracy!”

This is really rich - the crowd that has been braying for Russia to reduce Ukraine—that modern-day Gomorrah—to a pile of rubble are really just peace-loving world citizens of the “live and let live” philosophy? GMAFB

I respect Trump for his position, even though I don’t agree with it. At least he has been consistent (but I do recall him being the first to provide Kiev with Javelin ATGMs).

Guess what, folks? Rootin for Putin does not make you MAGA any more than it does us “Zeepers”.

Let Trump be Trump.
