Ironically, having been one to lambast UPS for decades, in our area the service has improved dramatically the past 10 years.
In fact, UPS is the only one who can repetitively deliver our packages to our house (as opposed to USPS and FedEx who repetitively deliver to the wrong house).
I don’t have an opinion here other than to cite the poor effect of unionization on a company which pays drivers a reported $95k/year to deliver inconsistent/spotty/poor service and then threaten to tear down the whole game over a few bargaining points.
i.e., competition is a good thing, and I do not believe UPS is ‘too big to fail’...but I’m sure some would disagree.
I send packages overseas routinely there is a huge difference in the cost and the service is the same. Once the package arrives in the country. It goes through customs and ends up being delivered by their postal system.
