DeSantis is doing fine. His job is to give aid and comfort to Trump’s enemies, in both parties, and his Jan 6th comments did just that (even if it means losing in November).
Hard to see why he should change anything.

This is sort of like the Biden regime and NATO downplaying the dismal results of a Ukrainian counteroffensive that has seen Ukraine unable to reach the first line of Russian defense.
DeSantis is a such loser that if anything happened to Trump, he still wouldn't be the nominee.
