Caviezel, who previously played Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, is also drawing attention to the film in other ways. For years, he's been a prominent promoter of the false, violent QAnon conspiracy theory — specifically, the baseless claim that an international cabal of elites is abusing and killing children to extract a substance called adrenochrome.
These wild claims have become deeply enmeshed with narratives about child trafficking in recent years, from the QAnon predecessor Pizzagate conspiracy theory, which falsely alleged a pizza parlor in Washington, D.C., was home to a child sex ring, to false claims that online retailer Wayfair was selling children in the guise of furniture.
Executives at Angel Studios, the film's distributor, have publicly rejected any association with conspiracies. So have Tim Ballard, the former federal agent Caviezel plays in the movie, and his organization, Operation Underground Railroad. (Angel Studios declined NPR's interview request. Operation Underground Railroad did not respond to NPR's questions.)
But Ballard recently told right-wing podcadster Jordan Peterson that claimed adrenochrome harvesting is real. His statements, and Caviezel's, have an impact on how Sound of Freedom is being received, said Mike Rothschild, author of The Storm Is Upon Us: How QAnon Became a Movement, Cult, and Conspiracy Theory of Everything.

The fact that its a true story has no bearing on anything. 😆
Americans: No, the Democrats supporting pedo are the evil ones.
NPR.
LOL!
As FAR LEFT an organization that exists.
wow... just wow.
The story ends with
“In a long blog post about the film, Angel Studios acknowledged some elements are fictionalized and said the film takes “creative liberties in depicting the different methods of child trafficking.”
Campbell worries the picture of trafficking and how to address it presented by Operation Underground Railroad and, by extension, Sound of Freedom, diverts people’s attention, resources and policy proposals away from where they’re most needed”
WTF are we still funding this?
I’ve been keeping track. This is example number 10,000,000 why NPR should be defunded. NPR is a trashy propaganda arm of the Democrat party. Let the DNC fund it. No taxpayer money, please.
Oh, and one more thing. To better reflect its goals, NPR should change its name to National Propaganda Radio.
There is no qanon
At Homeland security, Tim Ballard spent 10 years looking at the worst images and videos of child abuse. One story I heard him say yesterday was about a young child in China that had his spinal fluids tapped daily and his limbs were all paralyzed due to this.
If someone in this position tells you something is true, there’s a good chance it is.
AMERICANS are supporting it...
Who are these ‘qanon’ supporters’ they cite?
State Sponsored Media.
Why doesn’t the mainstream media and government think human trafficking is a bad thing? Like the Fentanyl crisis they are aiding and abetting modern day slavery and death.
My ex-MIL listened to the drivel put out by NPR and was a big supporter of Planned Parenthood. Needless to say, I disagreed with her liberal comments supporting Planned Parenthood. NPR is the DC Globalist bilge promotion network.
Does Qanon exist?
"Baseless". I love how Nazi Propaganda Radio does zero investigation and then Marx-splains how evil it is to expose pedos.
Operation Underground Railroad did not respond to NPR's questions.
I wouldn't talk to the marxist deep state scum at NPR either.
Evil does. And only evil would try suppressing a film committed to ending the sexual exploitation of children.
Just how depraved are these lunatics’ that they feel the need to oppose a movie based on a true story of the horrors of child sex trafficking.
Let that sink in the next time any leftist goes on a moralistic rant or equivocation.
They are LITERALLY providing cover for child sex slave trafficking. The time is over where anyone on the left deserves any respect. There is not a compromise to be had with their ideological positions.
I wonder if Caviezel has an action against this vile organization.
One of my best friends is an elegant woman of tremendous educational and professional credentials. She started out as a right thinking conservative, with some strong, personal, liberal positions, big into teaching women to shoot for self protection. I’ve been conservative since age 10, so we only argued on a few issues. I always thought it was funny that NPR was ALWAYS on her car radio. Gradually, over decades, she’s done a complete turn around and I can’t think of a single conservative position she still holds. I blame it on NPR.
