I suppose anything is possible. We've seen voting machines change numbers on live TV. But if it really is possible to change box office numbers, then wouldn't they show that Indy 5 is a hit and SoF is a flop?
But they showed no curiosity about the movie at all. They were told that it's a "Q-anon movie" and that's what they called it. They spent more time talking about the Barbie movie and the Hollywood strike than SoF.

Anecdotally, I can tell you that it took me over A WEEK after the opening on July 4 to be able to buy tickets to watch the movie as all theaters that were showing the film on a limited basis were FULL !!
Objectively, Now AMC has ADDED even more theaters for the film to be shown after 3 weeks since its initial release.
