Great. Just what we need, a new bureaucracy that can be bought off.
Big tech is a problem because it’s a MONOPOLY.
Break them up and much of the problem goes away.
The same government that refuses to break them up, allows mergers and acquisitions, and has a cozy relationship with them (i.e. censorship, shadow banning, deplatforming...) Is NOT going to fix $hit.
All Warren and idiots like her will accomplish is that you’ll get hundreds if not thousands on the government payroll that do their political masters bidding, they will generate lots of PowerPoint slides to show what they did and how great the threat is (why we need to spend more). But they will in the end NOT regulate Big Tech.
Big Tech regulates her ass. She’s the one wanting favorable coverage. She’s the one that wants campaign money. Her party wants money and folks like Zuckerberg blow >$400 million in 2020 on the elections.

Realize, the same government colluding with big tech for censorship, the same politicians that want favorable coverage or use big tech to their advantage, the same political apparatus that relies on money from folks like Zuckerberg, wants to have a federal agency to regulate Big tech? Hahaha
If they really wanted a free, diverse, private system, they would use the exiting laws regards monopolies to break them up, which has been done before, even not so long ago, i.e. Telecom.
But they’re not interested in a competitive, private, and open market place. They want power, control, and a new federal agency that makes regulations and is under them provides them this. In fact, have a few monopolies (Google, Meta, etc.) is easier to collude with and they won’t fight back, because breaking them up isn’t going to be pretty.
I think the UniParty thing is a consequence of both parties having folks that are beholden to the interests of the oligarchs. So it don’t matter if it’s republican or democrats, folks like Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg, Musk, about 50 folks or so, have an enormous pull.
Their common/collective interests are served by these politicians. China trade, globalization and crap like climate change, Covid, Ukraine, the movement to a cashless society, privacy and how government charged to protect it is one of the worst culprits and does nothing about business stripping every last detail from folks: read a MS end user license agreement.
Democrat or Republican don’t really matter on the real issues because the folks with money own the media and politicians.
So we can argue about nonsense issues, while the government in the form of so called infrastructure investments pumps billions into the pockets of each of them, with democrats and republicans voting for it.
If these two are involved, good Lord are we doomed.
When these two are in bed together, then look out!!
