Washington β€” The Biden administration plans to welcome some Latin American and Caribbean migrants currently waiting in Mexico into the U.S. through the refugee resettlement program, as part of another effort to offer them an alternative to crossing the U.S. southern border illegally, the White House announced Friday.

The initiative will allow eligible migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela who are living in Mexico to come to the U.S. with refugee status, which puts them on a path to permanent residency and citizenship, and makes them eligible for government assistance through the early resettlement process.

The initiative would mark the first time the U.S. will be conducting refugee processing in Mexico on a large scale.

Representatives for the White House and the State Department, which oversees the U.S. refugee resettlement program, did not provide additional details about the latest initiative, including how many migrants are expected to benefit from it.

How does this make sense. Mr. Biden? If they are established in Mexico.

Why the hell do that-if they are living in Mexico now why can’t they stay there-with the exception of the Haitians, they are all from countries where Spanish is the main language-I’m sure some of those from Haiti speak Spanish, too-it is spoken on the same island-in the DC. Haiti is a criminal war zone now, too-we don’t know we are not giving criminals asylum, because I’ll bet no one is going to do background checks-but I guess they could just send them to NY or Chicago-already lots of them there...

Haiti is almost 100% French speaking and the Spanish speaking Dominican Republic is currently putting up a wall to keep them out.

Everyone in the Caribbean knows about the violent thugs known as Haitians; after the earthquake they fanned out to the French Antilles and other islands where they proceeded to rob, rape, kill and terrorize with abandon.

They’re France’s problem, not ours. There are French speaking countries all over West Africa, if they don’t like Haiti, no reason they can’t hop an Air France flight to Cote d’Ivoire or Senegal and take up residence.
