DeSantis: Two-Tiered Justice System ‘Got Worse’ on Trump’s Watch
Breitbart ^ | July 31, 2023 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 08/01/2023 10:52:32 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

During an interview with the Fox News Channel aired on Monday’s broadcast of “Special Report,” 2024 Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said that there are two standards of justice, and “Donald Trump was President for four years. This problem got worse under him. He did not succeed in draining the swamp.” DeSantis also predicted that Trump would have a “very difficult time getting the type of personnel to join the administration that you would need” to take down the administrative state.

DeSantis said, “Well, this is why we say there [are] two standards of justice. If Hunter were a Republican, he’d be in jail by now. You look at all of this smoke, and yet, the FBI, where [are] the search warrants? Where is the grand jury? Where’s the aggressiveness that they’ve shown going after some Republicans? You just don’t see it.”

He added that the treatment of former President Trump is another example of the two tiers of justice and stated that with the Mar-a-Lago raid, they “went through everything they could to get any piece of information. They are not doing that with Hunter. Of course, they didn’t do it with Hillary back in 2016. So, we look at that. But look at all of the possible corruption. Hunter, he’s selling paintings for over a million dollars. My six-year-old daughter does better paintings than him, maybe we’ll put ours up and see what kind of things she can fetch. I don’t think we’re going to get a million dollars on it. We will go in there and we will make all of this stuff better very, very quickly.”

DeSantis continued, “And, look, Donald Trump was President for four years. This problem got worse under him. He did not succeed in draining the swamp. My worst critics and

You are delusional. Is there a plug to drain the swamp or are there stages, steps? Trump made the first, most important step. He exposed them. He called them out such that any informed American can understand how the swamp is running the show, using Americans labor, sweat, money and taking away equal justice & opportunity.

He showed the world, not just America the men behind the curtain, the people calling the show. Draining the swamp is a job for every American. To drain the swamp it’s denizens need to be voted out, called out and people of integrity need to shoulder the burden of Government service, as service not as a gravy train.
The 2d cartoon world you pretend we live in, where Trump was supposed to wave a wand, does not exist.
Constantly assaulting the only person who has the deep state on the run, frantic, breaking the law in open view just to stop him becoming POTUS again is like spitting in the wind.

Trump made deep inroads on the deep state but if he does not return as POTUS the damage will heal and because they have defeated Trump and have no one on the horizon with knowledge, gumption and a tactical mind to bring the battle to America’s internal enemies, no one who cannot be bought or cowed, the deep state, liberal zealots & globalist elites will tighten the screws on America. The life we elders knew will be a faint dream. Equal justice, equal opportunity to work toward your dreams, a strong merit bases economy, a Country of individual freedom & responsibility. Gone

Have YOU looked into it?

All I know is what I’ve read in shipping industry publications. And her family’s company isn’t even a major player by global shipping standards. There’s only one U.S. company (Matson) ranked among the top maritime carriers in the world, and they derive almost all of their revenue from domestic U.S. shipping.

Like every bit of Adam Schiff’s evidence all the supposed evidence Jack Smith has will vanish, is bogus, is composed of lies based on a flawed or purposely twisted understanding of the law, weaponized against a particular man which in itself is illegal. Fruit of the poisonous tree, a product of prosecutorial misconduct.
This process stinks to high heaven and marks America as a banana republic. If America’s Supreme Court does not speak to the rule of law. If citizens do not cry out it is the end.
Parsing whether there is some truth to a pile of garbage ignores the fact that the whole pile is rotten and should be taken to the dump.
Ignoring the corruption that engendered these criminal acts by the DOJ is a flaw in critical thinking.

He's obviously done a good job building up that image. But when you really look at it, he and his family are still international businesspeople at their core. If you went and dug up all the money from foreign companies and foreigners that have poured into the Trump operation it would make these Biden transactions look like peanuts.

Have you done this research and dug up all that money?

There’s nothing wrong with being an “international businessman.” Heck — most of this country’s founders would have fit this description.

What you’re overlooking here is that even the ineffective — or downright bad — decisions made by the Trump administration were aimed primarily at supporting Americans and domestic industries. And the single most important set of policy decisions made by Trump early on … most of which hardly got any attention at the time … was a statement that the U.S. on principle would: (1) pursue direct trade agreements with individual countries; (2) cancel our involvement in multi-lateral trade agreements (like the Trans-Pacific Partnership) that had been under negotiation when he entered office; and (3) renegotiate multi-lateral trade agreements already in place (like NAFTA) to bolster U.S. industries.

There isn’t anyone in Washington not named Rand Paul who even talks about these things. And the D.C. political establishment has always despised Trump for this.

Naw, I haven’t made my mind up yet. But I think that this kills him, whether justified or not. Especially with the J6 indictments yesterday. Trump will use that. The Democrats are trying to goad the Republicans to force the SC to get involved, thereby legitimizing their attempt to pack it or force Conservatives to step down. They are smiling bogus and unconstitutional charges to kill the SC while they can.

This is what you said in your original comment: "Recess appointment is NOT what I’m talking about.

I’m talking about Trump saying if you don’t approve this guy, I’ll keep appointing interims that you hate even more."

You did not claim, or infer that it was something you thought Trump should have said. You said you were talking about Trump "saying:...blah, blah, blah. You said it as if Trump had actually said it. Anyone who can read, and comprehend, wouldn't assume you were alluding to something Trump "should have said."

Looks like Golden Eagle unAmerican. He doesn't believe in “innocent until proven guilty”. That despite Obama's/Biden's Weaponized Government's history. LOL, and this moron believes the one sided J6 Pelosi Kangaroo Court testimony.

Laughable.

Obviously, you are just making things up.

Here is my exact quote you were replying to:

"Guess we’ll learn more in the trial. I hope none of that is true"

I see why you typically just spam the same page of links over and over now. Doesn't require much thought. Maybe you should go back to that. Thanks.

You have not disputed and cannot dispute any of the information I have posted to you. You post drivel and have the nerve criticize me.

Refute any of my facts, links, etc. that I have posted! You cannot. I will continue to refute your posts when I see fit with facts. Since you are unable to absorb the facts I feel it is necessary to correct the record so others receive an opposite POV (that has facts to support the POV).

You used Pelosi’s one sided J6 kangaroo court's testimony to support your opinion. You left yourself open for attack. Deal with it.

I referred to the direct testimony of Trump's own senior lawyers and campaign staff. If what they said upset you, then blame them, or blame Trump. Hopefully they were misquoted, but it didn't sound good.

Trump was donated $250 million to prove that but never really offered anything up, to support his claim. I thought for sure it was at first, but in the J6 hearings it came out in testimony that most if not all f Trump’s close counsel told him in their professional opinion he actually lost.

I've seen plenty to support Trump's claim.

And I wouldn't cite the J6 hearings.

I don’t consider that he lied. He tried and could have done it if he hadn’t been stabbed in the back by so many traitors.

Link to a transcript which should include a cross examination by a Trump representative.

Well said.

DeSantis with his "2D cartoon-like" statement about the Deep State "getting worse". trivializes to the point of him being naive, the difficult task of draining the swamp.

Trump was surrounded by the uniparty. He was threatened with impeachment by Republican Senators, if he were to fire the AG. So instead of firing the AG, Trump went to work, building political capital, to gain leverage, to fire the AG. He did this by being the best president, in my lifetime.

And Trump did indeed did build political capital as he gained 12 million voters.

And as I pointed out above, that's when the Deep State stole the election. And that's a stolen election DeSantis doesn't even want us to talk about.

So what does he do different in 2024 to fix it? The senate won’t be any better.

You realize freerepublic has discussions threads and you can click to see what the comment was replying to and then click on that one to see what was orginally said...and so on.

You should do that. I don’t think anyone reposts everything they already said to make it easier for people to jump in on middle of the discussion. IF they want to jump in they are expected to follow the thread so they can make an informed and hopefully intelligent comment and not waste everyone’s time with their lack of understanding.

You must be new here.
