Trump had no leverage because for 4 years the Senate did not recess specifically so Trump could not make a recess appointment. Trump finally tried to get people into spots with interim heads or by having the subordinate people take on responsibilities, Then they sued him.

Desantis never said on Trump’s watch, just that it got worse under trump. watch denotes that trump had something to do with the weaponization of the DOJ... other than being its target, no, he didn’t.
i am not for desantis, but the MSM uses these semantic tactics to separate republicans... some fall for it.
Of course it got worse under President Trump. That’s when the DOJ/FBI went into high gear in going after Trump and his associates. That’s also when government agencies started tightening the circle of the wagons around the Biden family. Since they had been protecting both them and the Clintons and Obamas for years, they just had to bring more people on board and “fortify” the protection teams.
They two standards of justice just became more noticeable after Trump was elected. Especially when they impeached Trump for inquiring into the Biden family corruption. DeSantis is going to lose more and more support if he continues down that path.

The Mask of ambition has been pulled away from DeSantis. His real face appears ugly and reminds me of Mittens and Pence.
