Former President Donald Trump’s political action committee has paid the French-born stylist who designed Melania Trump’s inaugural ball gown more than $260,000 for “strategy consulting” since the start of last year, filings with the Federal Election Commission show.
Hervé Pierre Braillard was paid $108,000 by the Save America PAC during the first six months of 2023, receiving the money in increments of $18,000 each month, according to a half-year report filed with the FEC Monday night.
Braillard, who goes by Hervé Pierre professionally, also received $152,500 in 2022, broken down into eight monthly payments of $18,000 between May and December of that year — along with an initial $6,000 payment for April and a $2,500 “year-end bonus.” *** My role is to dress the First Lady and advise her – I’m not a stylist; I am an adviser, and she is adamant about that,” Braillard told Vogue in 2017.
*** Save America, which is primarily supported by small-dollar donations, began 2022 with a nine-figure war chest that has dwindled to fewer than $4 million in cash on hand as of the end of June, FEC data indicates.
Part of what kept the PAC in the black was a $12.25 million rebate from an initial $60 million transfer to Make America Great Again Inc., a PAC that’s also aligned with Trump’s 2024 bid.
Save America also dished out more than $21 million in the first six months of this year to foot the bill for legal advice for Donald Trump and some of his associates. ***

Never thought she would need such care. Is time taking its toll?
You're just going to go all in on this comedian routine, looks like. Not really much else you can do on something this outrageous, I guess.
I mean, can you imagine Obama taking campaign contributions to pay for Michelle's hair treatments, to the tune of $100+K? And he's not even a billionaire.
Trump recently admitted in two separate interviews he'd be willing to even UP the level of contributions to Ukraine, to levels far beyond Biden, if the situation warrants it. You see that as a bad thing, right? Or a good one? Not clear at this point.
We see this a lot from Trump supporters lately. I can't relate, sorry.
“I mean, can you imagine Obama taking campaign contributions to pay for Michelle’s hair treatments, to the tune of $100+K?”
Do you think that every campaign doesn’t expense that crap, and the designer clothes, etc? How many stories did we have to endure about whose dresses Mooch was wearing? She didn’t pay for those herself.
Not that I've ever heard of before. $100K for hair treatments, from donations to the campaign?
How many stories did we have to endure about whose dresses Mooch was wearing? She didn’t pay for those herself.
Maybe not, but clothes are typically DONATED by the designer, for publicity, are they not? Got any evidence Obama was paying for fashion items for his wife using campaign dollars? How about hair treatments?
Wouldn't surprise me, but it wouldn't make it right. Nor have I ever heard of such a thing before. $100K campaign money. For a spouse's beauty treatment. Can't you get a facelift for that? Is that OK too?
She’s worth it. I’m going to send a couple bills
Many republicans are of the opinion that we give the left the win on this issue. That the GOP should elect someone who will appease the middle a bit, overlook the corruption, allow elected officials to continue down the current path with hopes the socialist dictatorship will be installed more gradually.
They believe someone such as Romney or Christie who can be depended upon to give democrats more control over the policy decisions of a GOP administration would be best. Of course, the attacks on any GOP nominee will start immediately after the GOP is announced. Anyone who thinks otherwise has not been paying attention over the past few decades. If the “deep state” is allowed to get away with what they have done to both Trump and conservatives over the past few years, by being rewarded in such a way, then there is no use in voting at all. Let THEM select the leader they want once more.
I don't know of anyone saying that. From what I can tell, and see, we see options as to who is the best warrior to fight this battle going forward. The main options are Trump, a nationalist, and DeSantis, a conservative.
They believe someone such as Romney or Christie who can be depended upon
Again, who is this 'they?' I don't know of anyone supporting Christie, here or anywhere. And especially not Romney. Do you? Who?

As you said, that's nothing new. A given, as a matter of fact. And Trump has honestly received a lot more blows in this regard, than he's given. He's a target rich environment, for the enemy, unfortunately.
If the “deep state” is allowed to get away with what they have done to both Trump and conservatives over the past few years, by being rewarded in such a way, then there is no use in voting at all.
Well, conservatives haven't taken as many blows on the chin as Trump the last few years, thankfully. He's never claimed to be a conservative, or really even acted like one, either. His supposed brand is either Nationalist, or Populist, not conservative. Populist is typically even a liberal who has grievances, like Occupy Wall Street.
And these distinctions are important. I don't think a "Nationalist" is a good platform to be on, to take on the government. A "nationalist" could actually even be a socialist, or even worse, communist, who believes in a very STRONG government. I'm not accusing Trump of that, just saying that a nationalist platform isn't the strongest to take on the deep state, since it can stand for a strong national government.
It's got to be conservative movement, who at its core distrusts government. Trump, on the other hand, just doesn't like THIS government. Listen to him, he just wants to replace it with HIS government. Which is not necessarily a good thing, especially long term, as he's already ~80 years old.
You sound jealous.
Ok, so because you never heard of it before, I guess Merrick Garland should make it illegal now. Just for Trump though.
The floor is yours. Show us where anybody else spent over $100K of campaign contributions on their wife’s beauty enhancements. Is it illegal? Maybe, but I don’t know. It sure looks pathetic, like something a superficial swindler would do, at a minimum. Tammy Faye Baker kind of stuff.
“Show us where anybody else spent over $100K of campaign contributions on their wife’s beauty enhancements.”
Show us where “beauty enhancements” are one of the itemized categories that campaigns report, that someone could actually look up and provide for you.
That’s another issue. They appear to have falsely claimed it was for election consulting work or similar. Not hair dye and extensions.
You seem far more focused on anything that can denigrate Trump, rather than focusing on the very real bribes Joe Biden took and Hunter Biden facilitated.
What Hunter and Joe did is not really up for debate, is it? It’s pretty cut and dried criminal behavior, that they’ve so far gotten away with. What else is there to discuss, really? There’s no real investigation going on, or impeachment. It’s just a dead time, where we have to live with it, until the Congress does something, or we get a new President.
I’ve called for impeachment of Biden since the day this Congress took office. They campaigned on that, as a matter of fact. What good has it done? They may eventually get around to it, but they obviously aren’t listening to me.
So maybe the next President will do something. We’ve learned the FBI had Hunter’s laptop in their possession while Trump was President and did nothing. Trump’s own lawyer and PR team had the laptop while he was still President and nothing happened. They just went on Bannon’s show and dripped one email a day for a couple months, until the election, which failed to legitimize it. Should have dropped it all like wikileaks, for maximin effect.
So the discussion about who the next President will be is a good debate to have right now, if you ask me. Asking Congress to do something sure hasn’t worked. Hopefully they’re working up to finally doing something of value. Or maybe it’s just more slow drip drip drip like what happened with Hunter’s laptop when Giuliani had it, where it just gets squandered away and the clock runs out with nothing actually happening.
“Show us where anybody else spent over $100K of campaign contributions on their wife’s beauty enhancements.”
That’s why Trump is a billionaire and you aren’t. /s
The continued radical criminality of the Bidens and those associated with them, with no consequences;
The purposed creation of food shortages in order to kill millions;
The purposed destruction of transportation to control and kill millions;
The purposed destruction of the US currency to force us onto government electronic money, in order to completely control millions;
You choose to focus on the persecution of one man, siding with the persecutors.
You claim to be ultra-conservative. Ultra-conservative, my left nut.
“They appear to have falsely claimed it was for election consulting work or similar.”
LOL. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s a “false claim”. Get over yourself.
