The city paid big bucks for two posh, gas-guzzling new SUVs to escort Mayor Eric Adams and other top officials around town — even though the bike-boosting pol once vowed to pedal to work “all the time.”
City Hall added a gleaming black Lincoln Navigator with tricked-out rims and a Chevrolet Suburban High Country with 420 horsepower to its fleet of department cars, for a combined total of at least $157,000, The Post has learned.
Adams’ gets carted around daily in the High Country, which has an abysmal gas mileage of just 14 mpg in the city.
The pollution-spewing Navigator — which the biggest and most luxurious model made by Ford — meanwhile tallies 16 mpg.

Polling shows that the single most effective thing undermining public support for “green” crap is examples of hypocrisy by elites.
Generally, when you point ou their hypocrisy, you are actually just acknowledging their hierarchy and superior status, and it actually builds their power, as people fear them more.
But in this case it really moves public opinion and is worth it.

The biggest hypocrisy is when the “green” crowd owns expensive and luxurious coastal property.
Anybody who actually believed this garbage should be in my rural town—far inland and high elevation.
Repubs and conservatives should be hammering constantly on these things.

In fact, Paul Ryno floated a “grand bargain” where there would be amnesty, green new deal, carbon taxes and entitlement reform.
