Trump doesn’t have the authority to call for the National Guard for Congress Hill. That is the Speaker of the House and the Speaker of the Senate that have that authority. If they thought it was needed, but didn’t do, that that is on them.

Trump’s team has the receipts and the witnesses to prove the offer of the National Guard to be used for crowd controls, days before J6. If you have any doubt about this, just ask why the House J6 Committee never talked about the National Guard. The never used the Capitol Police Chief as a withness. Should be easy to prove considering she was being followed by a documentary film team the entire day, and getting full access to that footage should be as easy as calling a family member since her daughter was the filmmaker.

I’m suspicious she would make this claim now. The way Pence is talking l will not be surprised if he backs her up. This is an all hands on deck effort to take Trump out now.
