Last week I wrote about the discovery of a secret China-linked biolab in an ostensibly empty warehouse outside Fresno California.
It was, needless to say, a disturbing story. We aren’t talking about some sterile, well-controlled biological research facility that hadn’t kept up with all its paperwork.
No, this was a hidden lab piled with chemicals, boxes, refrigerators with chemicals and 20 deadly viruses, and genetically engineered mice that had been bred to catch and spread human viruses like COVID-19. It was in an ostensibly abandoned warehouse, and when the inspectors showed up the lab equipment had been hastily turned off before whoever was working there disappeared.
The power was off, but the freezers were still cold. People disappeared quickly, leaving behind a lot of documents in Chinese and a “President” who is available only by email from China. The president claimed the lab was merely storing defunct equipment, but there were live genetically engineered mice and the viruses stored in freezers.
It’s all very sketchy, to say the least. Not to sound paranoid or anything, but a Chinese biolab hidden in an abandoned warehouse with deadly viruses and genetically engineered mice discovered after a major pandemic that killed millions might lead one to wonder what exactly is going on.
At least if you aren’t obsessed with indicting Donald Trump every 3 days or so.

The latest twist to all this is that the company that originally owned the equipment before it was acquired by the current “owner,” Prestige Biotech, was named Universal Meditech, and Universal Meditech was subsidized by Gavin Newsom’s Office of Business and Economic Development.

So the lab wasn’t hidden. It was known by the all-knowing-massive-cannot-do-anything-right government.
‘Hidden’ is probably the wrong word to suggest.
They had a parking lot...employees (non-American)...a mail-box....electrical power (I assume monthly bills paid). I assume a telephone patch brought in the internet connectivity.
They could have just as well, run a meth lab, and not been noticed.
I think it’s a five-star script worthily of a Netflix series, similar to Breaking Bad. ‘Hu-Won And The Temple’ would be my title.
If I were the Deep State or the CCP, or a governor on that list of Governors deemed useful by China, (Remember that?) there would NOT be just ONE secret bio-lab in just One County in just One State.

if one wanted to scheme, imagine first an ample supply of chinese MD immigrants who are not licensed to practice in the USA (btw, these exist). plus chinese nurses and so on.
recognize that they need to be paid. so imagine cash (lots of cash, usa 100 notes) flowing across the canadian border from vancouver via chinese nationality couriers. the cash needs to be escorted to fresno and then distributed to chinese nationality workers.
end up with lots of cash transactions in the immediate area, particularly rent and car leasing, by foreign nationals.
this would not be too tough to figure out but the local bank records might need to be scrutinized.
fallout would be exposure of meth labs in the area. that’s already well established, so there is a protection path that the chinese (or whoever) would merely need to follow and imitate. for anyone really in a position to look, they could probably already see what was going on.
it surely seems odd that the inspectors got there mere hours after the refrigerator cords got pulled.
one might start with the inspector who drove by and noticed the garden hose. to me, that is a big noisy wigwag of a tell of potential corruption. did she recently buy an orchard and maybe even a land rover to go with it? recently take vacations to southern europe and/or the ivory coast?
just saying.
reedley is almost exactly equidistant from san jose and los angeles. and it is a place that most californians have never heard of, much less visited.
if i were a bio-skilled chinese immigrant, i would be drawn to lucrative employment that would minimize the pain of getting to san jose or los angeles for as much off time as possible. if i were a bioweapons lab ceo, i would want to locate the lab in a location that is as out of the way as possible while still being able to attract the necessary bio-skills.
the want ads for these jobs almost write themselves (even if they are in mandarin). (that is, if anyone was looking for them. which is debatable.)
I wonder who, in our own government, tipped the chicom bio-terrorists off? Shades of alerting hunter prior to a search by the IRS.
