The city began setting up a migrant shelter with 100 cots and baby supplies at Brooklyn’s McCarren Park Friday as Mayor Eric Adams refused to discuss the controversial move.
Workers unloaded items from trucks to retrofit the park’s popular Play Center — which houses a basketball court and gym in hipster-friendly Williamsburg — and brought in “cots, military style,” cribs and baby formula.
The facility, which Adams initially said would house “80 adult” migrants, appeared to be prepped for a family shelter — complete with baby wipes and toddler cots. There was no explanation from officials Friday about the discrepancy.
Other boxes were labeled “supplies to support shelter staff and facility set-up,” and included face masks, megaphones, extension cords and posters with rules.

New York mayor Adams is stealing citizens parks and giving them to invading, freeloading illegal aliens. In this upside down world, US citizens deserve nothing even though they pay for everything.
Welcome to life as a border city. You might want to increase taxes to help pay for all the free stuff you’re going to provide. Oh, don’t forget to prepare for a lot more crime, including violent crime, desperate people do things to survive.

With the summer in prime, how many classrooms are available with no students.
Move out the desks and put the unhoused into the empty classrooms.
Also, any public college/university can store a lot of undocumented visitors.
