Cleveland Ave is in a bad area. Forty years ago I dated a girl down there who worked for the FAA. It was then a mix of whites and blacks, I never had an issue at all. I wouldn’t go back there now, but then I wouldn’t go a lot of places in ATL that I used to go.
...I just returned from a 9,400 mile road trip pulling a 40’ boat. So, I was 63’ long and heavy. Meaning, I wasn’t going to be able to “run” from anybody.
When I went through large cities, which I had little choice but do, I made sure to do 5 things: 1. Enter the city not needing to go to the restroom or eat for a few hours. 2. Full tanks of diesel. 3. Do not get off expressway under any circumstance. 4. Have shotgun loaded, one in the chamber and safety on and in arms reach. 5. Don’t stop.
I imagine there are many who exercise similar precautions going through America’s big cities these days.
