We are at the stage of the DeSantis campaign where fired staffers are leaking to the press, and angry, frustrated staffers that are still employed are venting to the press about how bad the DeSantis campaign is.

I am liking Ron less and less as he drags this on.

He is now being used as a tool for the Dems to weaken Trump

They should be depressed when their candidate pins his hopes on the Deep State or the Grim Reaper taking out his rival well BEFORE the primaries begin. Maybe it’s time for DeSantis to at least consider going back to Florida and doing the job he promised his voters that he would do if they overwhelmingly reelected him just last year.

Ron DeSantis promised a reset of his presidential campaign. Many of his campaign staffers are still waiting.

Several aides believe the Republican candidate’s bid lacks a coherent strategy and message, according to people familiar with the campaign. The operation is disorganized, with different teams pursuing their own agendas, and little communication between groups, said the people familiar, who requested anonymity to discuss the campaign’s inner workings.

I don’t believe the DeSantis campaign has been particularly bad. The odds against it were horrendous. PDJT has always had the primary advantages of a popular incumbent.

My take on it Desantis jumped into the race way to early. Any initial enthusiasm for him has disapated ... he’s toast.

DeSantis made the mistake of thinking his massive popularity and support in Florida would carry him into the White House. I suspect the Bush/Cheney/Rove/McConnell/Romney wing of the party helped him believe it as well. Shame on them all.

Trump has the support and loyalty of the MAGA base - he created them. DeSantis does not have loyalty - he was only the best hope for the anti-Trump contingent. They’ll switch at the drop of a hat to anyone who might look like the best pick to take out Trump. That is not support, or loyalty.

I know what’s going on inside and this is absolutely true. I firmly believe that winning the primary is not the overarching goal of the consultant, but to grift as much cash as they can before he drops out. They are not building relationships with voters and establishing a motivated, low$ donor base. They are wedding themselves to a few whales. They should be running an insurgent campaign like Bernie Sanders did.

Yeah, every dollar supporters of DeSantis give to his campaign is one less dollar Trump can use to pay his lawyers and Melania’s stylist

My take: Trump jumped into the race the day after the disastrous midterms he helped engineer thinking it would preclude him getting indicted. That didn’t work so he’s running now to pay his legal bills

All the anonymous aides very close to the situation are the source. Don’t believe one blasted word. The race has hardly begun. Trump was at about 5% national polling this time in 2015.

“Slipping away” implies they had it in the first place. I don’t think so.

As races tend to do when you don’t make it off the starting line.

DeSantis got exposed as a GOPe puppet and the Republican electorate knows it! He needs to get back to governing his state and not worry about presidential politics for awhile.

DeSantis gambled on 2024 and by challenging Trump and fairing badly this might hurt his chances again in 2028. Bad timing and strategy.

It done slipped long ago.

DeSanctus made himself odious to Trump supporters.

He began with no justification for his candidacy, other than being a less offensive version of trump.

He ended by offending tens of millions of voters.

80% Of Ronnie’s donors are rich globalists.
Only 20% are small donors.
You Ronnie supporters need to dig deep into
your hard earned money and donate more.
