Does Niger have the slightest SAM, AAA or Air Defense capability? I cannot imagine that they do.

“We build a 110 million dollar drone base inside Niger. Are we flying still?”

It doesn’t appear that we are. There are a couple articles online that address that.

I think the folks in the Deep State who want to take out this coup are four-year olds.

When I was four years old I looked at the map of Africa saw that country “Niger” and I had trouble with pronunciation.

I used 2 r’s instead of one when I pronounced it out loud to the other folks I was corrected to pronounce it with one r.

You could put 20,000 white men and women in Niger, assuming if the country was empty of Africans. Within a decade, it’ll be the wealthiest and safest nation in Africa.

I had a previous life in local television news the funniest gaffe I remember is when we put “public affairs” on without the “l” in “public”.

Niger is an immense piece of real estate which is largely an uninhabitable lunar landscape, and suitable only for oil, gas, and mineral exploration. No sane person would want to live there as it is amongst the most inhospitable land on the planet, save the little green sliver in the southwest which hosts the capital Niamey where installed juntas backed by various nation-states ‘administer’ the country and natural resources.

Niger probably not, but Wagner showed some capability during their ‘insurrection’.

Niger: Travel Advisory Raised to Level 4 – Do Not Travel -

Last Update: Reissued on August 2, 2023 to reflect the ordered departure of non-emergency U.S. government personnel and eligible family members. U.S. citizens have previously been advised to reconsider travel to Niger due to crime, terrorism, and kidnapping.

Other than that stuff I hear it’s uncrowded for tourists and prices for souvenirs are down. Just sayin’.

US troops in Niger have been restricted to the American military bases and US embassy in Niger, as the Biden administration works to restore democratically-elected President Mohamed Bazoum to power.

A US military official said the approximately 1,000 troops were “retrograded” back to base last week, shortly after Bazoum was seized by members of the presidential guard on Wednesday. Another US official confirmed the troops are restricted to the bases and the embassy, but said all of the forces were already at their respective stations when the attempted coup occurred.
