Yes yes it’s for their own good. I just spent a Weekend in West Chester and gas is more expensive. Gotta pay the dude pumping the gas

I will stand back for this one. Or perhaps turn away.

Actually the pumps are underground on the tanks. Dispensers are what one utilizes to put fuel in a vehicles tank.
Red Jacket and FE Petro are the main brands. Kind of being a smart ass, but it was my trade for 25+ years.

I was doing maintenance on a tank at a QT in Lewisville near DFW and this woman comes over and demands I fill up her rental. She was hot and let me see up her dress, so I was obligated. She was from Jersey. She bought me a coffee.

I have never been near NJ and hopefully I will never have to go there.

I remember a business trip to Oregon in the early 2000s where I dared to pump my own gas. I didn’t know about the absurd law. The gas attendant came out and yelled at me and gave me the stink eye like he caught me masturbating in public. Stupid law.

Some idiot tweeted if they get rid of full service gas pumping in New Jersey she was moving. It’s her right.
She didn’t think that threw to much.

I was pretty surprised by the layout of the NJ gas stations. More like 1929 than 2023. Most have two beat up pumps and some dangerous looking attendants who are trying to wheedle a tip.

New Jersey’s 1949 ban on self-service pumps remains a source of pride for some in a state where bumper stickers declare “Jersey Girls Don’t Pump Gas.” They pass gas and pump the crank.
Joisey gals park their bubble gum on the bedpost before giving oral, but they don't pump gas.

I live in New Jersey and I like sitting on my ass listening to music and letting somebody else do the work. Or I go in and get something to drink.

for the first time in 72 years, Oregon motorists will be able to grab a fuel nozzle and pump gas into their cars on their ownThis is not true. It has been legal for the past several years to pump your own gas in some sparsely-populated areas of Oregon. I saw this during my last visit to the state in 2017.

It has been this way for a long time. Bikers like to pump their own gas, and we always filled up before entering NJ.

However in NJ you can pump your own diesel fuel. And yes, even if it’s a car. Square that?
To: nickcarraway
Because NJ doesn’t let you pump your own gas, it’s cheaper there than in Pa. and NY. Insurance cost. Peopke cross state lines to buy cheaper gas in NJ.

Reflecting the nation as a whole, most of New Jersey consists of large areas of sparsely populated conservative regions, outvoted regularly by crime-ridden densely populated liberal shthole cities and left leaning suburbs.
