How this could even happen is a big mystery. It’s even impossible. According to Russian figures, Russia has already destroyed almost twice as many airplanes and helicopters than Ukraine has, and almost as many tanks and armored vehicles than Ukraine has.

On the principle that in war the other side has a vote, these might have something to say about Russian retaliatory attacks.

Yes, I know. Russia says they have destroyed 15 of the 2 PAC-3 batteries deployed. When this is over, they can say they destroyed 20 of them.

So how many hundreds of millions of Rubles is Russia going to waste this time? Or is it billions, given the actual state of the Ruble?

All sides are wrong here. I just want it to be over so hundreds of thousands of white men stop being tossed in the global meat grinder and everyone posturing here can STHU about it.

So this is a terrorist attack. What do you call the dozens of Uke hospitals and apartment buildings bombed by Putin?

Why do we care? Why should we be involved? This is a European issue. Our nation interest lies at home today, not overseas.

George Washington, in his farewell address, warned future generations of Americans about the perpetual conflicts on the European continent. His advice was to stay out of entangling alliances and leave the Europeans to sort out their own issues. Washington was much wiser than anyone in the US government today.

World War II ended over 75 years ago. The Western European economy is a first world economy, roughly equal in size and strength to the U.S. economy. Russia has a shrinking population and third world economy. Europe has the wealth and resources to deal with Russia.

If Western Europe after 75 years of prosperity, lacks the will to defend itself and deal with the aggressive actions of a declining third world nation, it will never be able to do so as long as it relies on the U.S. The fact is the US is $32 trillion in debt and cannot afford the spend hundreds of billions of borrowed money propping up Ukraine while the wealthy nations of Europe spend a pittance.

Let the Europeans chose to defend Ukraine with their own money or not. At home our society, economy, infrastructure and political system is collapsing. In addition the US southern border has collapsed, allowing millions of invaders to cross and resettle in the homeland per year. If we don’t address and fix the problems at home it won’t matter if Western Europe does or doesn’t save Ukraine from Russian expansion. It doesn’t matter even if Russia conquers Western Europe. Given demographic trends Western Europe will be Muslim majority in 30 years and living under Sharia law.

I’m old enough to remember the propaganda from politicians supporting the decade long War in Vietnam, if Vietnam falls, so will Southeast Asia and Australia. Vietnam fell and today communist Vietnam is a major trading partner with the U.S. Australia and Southeast Asia did not fall. We lost 50,000 lives and billions of dollars for nothing, plus allowed the left to begin the process of infiltrating and capturing our education system, the Democrat party, and the new media. Fast forward through two Iraq wars and Afghanistan, with trillions wasted and nothing to show for it but an increase in the crushing debt load on the American people and the Patriot Act which is used by the federal government against the American people.

Ukraine is a sideshow distracting the American people and our politicians from the internal collapse at home. The US giving aid to Ukraine is like an automobile accident victim bleeding out in the ER asking the doctor trying to save his live to extract a pint of his remaining blood and give it to the homeless drug addict in the room next to him.

Stop the bleed. Bring the troops home from Europe. Let Europe take care of itself. Stop spending borrowed money and start paying down the debt. Focus on healing ourselves and rebuilding a civil society. We will be surprised at how well the rest of the world deals with its problems once we stop interfering in the affairs of other nations.

You are no son of the South. Ukraine was brutally invaded by Northerners led by a criminal former KGB agent who has now ruled and perverted his country for almost a quarter of a century. The brave soldiers of Ukraine are fighting for freedom and doing a great job of it.

There are very few federal programs that do not spend vast amounts of money to achieve negative results. Money spent on Ukraine achieves a positive result and keeps Ukrainian resources out of dangerous criminal hands.

You might notice the Ukes didn’t use helicopters, tanks, airplanes or armored vehicles. They used an old Soviet missile system from the 80s. “How could this even happen is a big mystery”. No, it is not a big mystery. The Ukes are simply using what they have left. We send $150Billion to the Ukes and they’re still relying on last century’s old Soviet weapons. $150Billion in graft and kickbacks is “the big mystery”.

Yes it is curious, Russia invaded Ukraine and destroys whole cities. Not to be critical but the number of apartments and hospitals is in the hundreds not dozens and then add all the churches and infrastructure including bridges and 1000s of tons of grains not to mention the civilian casualties and putins precious bridge which allows the movement of equipment, personnel, and supplies for the war effort is attacked and it’s a “terrorist” act? Razing of entire Ukrainian cities, use of phosphorus weapons… is okay, but a few drones hit Moscow and again it’s a terrorist act?

That is quite the “logic” there!

It’s the usual Russian BS. Destroying cities and towns is okay, but attacking a strategically important bridge is terrorism.

Well said, additionally much of the “money” spent is weapon systems that are being phased out and munitions that are expiring and would need to be disposed of.

Let’s use the same logic for WW2, and it is a European problem that US should never have got involved in. Additionally Germany should have been allowed to keep all the land they “liberated” to save millions of lives.

Additionally many of the “it’s not our war” crowd use as a reason for US not to get involved is that it weakens our ability to fight China (it doesn’t but that is another topic), which confuses me, why is an invasion of Taiwan or even Japan “our war”? Seems by their logic that is an Asian problem, and my favorite is when they bring up the southern border invasion.

I guess we need those 155s, Bradley’s, abrams, and himars for that issue, something I am willing to entertain but even so we have plenty of those stocks if we want to go that direction/s

Strange times, hard to tell which are trolls for Russia and there are many, and those who actually believe the stuff they say

Everything is good. Russia has announced that it intercepted all missiles attacking the bridge and attacking Crimea.
