Activists upset over charges associated with London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) are unleashing a bit of vandalism by disabling and destroying CCTV enforcement cameras all over the region.
Viral videos and images have been circulating the internet showing cameras splayed on the pavement and even protestors actively damaging the equipment as one of the U.K.'s most controversial motoring laws plans to expand its reach to an additional 5 million residents. When it does, it'll become one of the world's largest financially-motivated efforts to combat vehicle emissions.

About 1965 they came under a lot of German influence.
The UK has used up much of its petroleum resources so needs to rely more on natural gas, which can be used to make electricity which can be made to power cars.
By using natural gas electricity to power cars, Norway will get to export almost all of its production of liquid fuels.
A lot of bad ideas have been exported from Britain.

If you watch the video at the link note the guy climbing the pole. He’s got his hoodie & face mask on to hide his identity. However, he climbs the pole & handles the camera all with bare hands. Leaving finger prints everywhere. Somewhere down the line this little oversight of not wearing gloves may come back to haunt him.
No, I think the motivation is more of the Big-brother totalitarian type than about anything else.
