Either way, systemic government negligence is a factor.

Wouldn’t surprise me if at least —some— arson did happen .....

Death toll from Hawaii fires hits 93 and is expected to grow,

\/

From local reports from the island,,,

.... it’s waaaaaay past that many.

There are STILL multiple fires on maui burning,,

But that’s not as sensational as the MSM lahinia reporting , so we probably won’t hear much about the others.

That’s quite a precise number to come out while ashes are still smoldering…

I thought it was illegal alien grass that was the root cause. Some variety that is alien to Hawaii, and is somehow drier than other, native, grass varieties.

NYC Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire:
“In a half an hour, the fire was over, and 146 of the 500 workers—mostly young women—were dead.”

I think the Maui number is premature, but the body count’s a long way from over.

Uh, climate change will probably top the list. But, I did read in some thread that there is an arson investigation underway or at least being considered. Maybe, maybe not. Prayers up for the folks on Maui.

I read that, too. As a retired Horticulturalist, I can tell you that’s BS. Hawaii’s grasses/foliage is just as combustible when dry.

I’m sure the climate change wackos are prepping for their shot at the cause.

my $$ is on arson/homeless campfire nonsense.
They will bury it if they see it’s a homeless person.

There sure seems to be a lot of indicators that this was arson and not natural. Like house is burning but the trees around them didn’t or that fire is in a perfect shape around an island, or the boats are on fire floating in the water. How Wicked if this is arson

They should have qualified their number (so far) as an *outdoor wildfire*, instead of the “deadliest American wildfire”. Maybe we’re supposed to know that?
