Donald Trump’s old tweets are coming back to haunt him.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis highlighted a dozen of the former president’s posts on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, in her sweeping 2020 election racketeering case against him.
The tweets were showcased in a section of the 13-count indictment against Trump that outlined 150 instances that played a role in his alleged conspiracy to thwart the 2020 election.
Here are the tweets cited in the 98-page document. “Wow! Blockbuster testimony taking place right now in Georgia. Ballot stuffing by Dems when Republicans were forced to leave the large counting room. Plenty more coming, but this alone leads to an easy win of the State!” ***
“
“People in Georgia got caught cold bringing in massive numbers of ballots and putting them in ‘voting’ machines. Great job @BrianKempGA!***’
“What a fool Governor @BrianKempGA of Georgia is. Could have been so easy, but now we have to do it the hard way. Demand this clown call a Special Session and open up signature verification, NOW. Otherwise, could be a bad day for two GREAT Senators on January 5th,” ***
“We now have far more votes than needed to flip Georgia in the Presidential race. Massive VOTER FRAUD took place. Thank you to the Georgia Legislature for today’s revealing meeting,”***
“States want to correct their votes, which they now know were based on irregularities and fraud, plus corrupt process never received legislative approval. All Mike Pence has to do is send them back to the States, AND WE WIN. Do it Mike, this is a time for extreme courage!”***

That said, Trump’s statements don’t seem all that damning.
innocuous.
There is nothing wrong and certainly nothing illegal about the tweets.
This banana republic is going down like the Titanic.
I definitely think Trump is being railroaded and we’re generally on a very dangerous path... but tactically, Trump made a lot of mistakes that gave Dems plenty of openings.
Seems like a real stretch
“That said, Trump’s statements don’t seem all that damning.”
No they don’t, and how does that fit into the RICO law?
The problem is if he gets railroaded we will get railroaded. It cannot stand.
Tweeting about democrat crimes is a crime.
He was impeached for looking into One Democrat’s crime and then they elected the man who committed them.
They are mean tweets.
How could he have even suspected that these totally innocuous tweets would be used against him?
Trump is definitely being railroaded. That said, keep an eye on how many of his attorneys abandon him due to client control issues.
All out assault on the first amendment. I believe the first applies to ALL citizens.
In a sane world, a person wouldn't be indicted for their tweets, not even a terrorist.
Exactly. They sound as if he believed there was fraud, and acted accordingly. If thinking an election may have been fraudulent is a crime, arrest Hillary.
Trump has already been found guilty, they just need a show trial and hand picked jurors to rubber stamp his conviction. Just like when Stalin was running things
but tactically, Trump made a lot of mistakes that gave Dems plenty of openings.
You need to understand the role of the warrior.
