Hayes Point was intended to revive San Francisco's struggling downtown...The $1.2 billion tower was halted after developers failed to find tenants...Hayes Point was one of the few remaining construction projects underway in San Francisco, and its halting comes as a major upset to city officials after they introduced measures to revive the downtown area around it.

That’s a shame!
Going to be tough to get developers into the area if the net result might be they’ll have to eat whatever costs they’ve put into their projects.
Will San Francisco look like Detroit in 5 years?
Now who could have seen that coming?
I just wonder if the idiots backed or supported these Commie leaders.

Why not just finish the project, and house illegals there? Sure, you’d lose money.
But you’d gain the admiration of progressives. So it’s actually a net moral gain.
Who is loaning money to anyone to build in SF?
More Communism will fix that.
No! It will take only two or three years.
Depends on whether or not they have an earthquake.
What did anyone think was going to happen after the Democrat Riots of 2020?
“”after they introduced measures to revive the downtown area around it.””
Hah! This from the same wackos who did not just fill hotels with homeless, they actually DELIVERED alcohol and drugs to them in the hotel.
$1.2 billion?
They have probably ‘given’ 100x that to the Homeless Industrial Complex.
The only things that democRATS ‘fix’ are the elections.
Excellent!
Metro Detroit actually has the largest concentration of Palestinian expatriates in the world outside the Middle East.
It is the Arab capital of North America.
From memory, about 250,000 expats.
Naturally, they vote 80% Democrat.
Imagine that. People don't want to lease "homeless-adjacent" offices.
A developer called “Presidio Ventures” just bought a huge office / commercial building in downtown SF at a 69% discount from the original asking price.
Even at that deep discount, you have to ask “WHY would somebody do that?”
They have a man-caused earthquake that dwarfs any natural earthquake caused problems.
I don’t get it. I think an economic reckoning is coming.
Obstruction of a commercial business district could be made a federal crime.
