What do you think is happening in Seattle? And the closure was all planned to coincide with the Anarchist “Summer of Love”. Nordstom’s closed their flagship store and Macy’s closed their store as well. There is no more shopping in downtown Seattle, so we don’t have to worry about the shop lifting. Met lab explosions are getting to be a regular event at homeless camps.
In Bellingham, the western WA students set up a separate tent for the homeless meth lab on the library front lawn, which of course exploded.

The Newsomes and the Breeds will not get the message. They will deliberately ignore it. Their policies were designed to bring about this very situation: the destruction of valid, productive businesses, and the elimination of work opportunities for those who choose to be productive.
They can move? Of course. But it won’t. With it goes a part of the history of a once great city. Gump’s was the place to go, along with the deceased City of Paris, when you wanted to buy something for someone that would be remembered. It was the Tiffany of the West.

In another article on this it was mentioned Chakas acquired Gump’s at a bankruptcy sale in, IIRC, 2019. And that he’s moved there from Las Vegas, having previously been a US Senate candidate a the GOP primary. Even if a hard core RINO he’d be pretty right wing for SF. And the full page SF newspaper ad he took out to discuss this was worthy of Mayor Rudy G.
