There Is No Endgame To Continuing To Relitigate the 2020 Election. It’s a Dead End.
Legal Insurrection, All Rights Reserved. ^ | Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 01:00pm | William A. Jacobson

I think he’s in a lot of legal trouble, and I’ve been saying this...for a while and people, you know, attack that. But hey, I live in the real world and the real world is telling us that Donald Trump has a lot of legal problems. He’s probably going to get convicted in one or more of these cases. And people need to wake up and people need to understand what’s happening. And people also need to understand that, while he is not to blame for the hyperpartisan actions of the prosecutors, he left himself very vulnerable. He handed a lot of this stuff to them on a silver platter, and they are now exploiting it. It’s a bad situation.

And now he’s going to roll out, apparently Monday, a new report about Georgia election fraud. I mean, are you kidding me? It’s two and a half years later.

What is the endgame here? Trump supporters don’t seem to understand, what is your endgame? There is no process to decertify an election that took place two and a half years ago. The way you stop this growing totalitarianism is to win the next election, but everything they’re doing is set up to lose the next election. You’ve got to win the next election because Fani Willis and Alvin Bragg and Jack Smith are just the first of a wave of totalitarian attacks using the law enforcement and prosecutorial powers of the state that’s coming our way.

No, we need to fix the elections, that doesn’t mean supporting Trump because he was cheated and lost last time. Focus should be on fixing election integrity so that whoever the nominee is, they have a fair chance at winning.

“ He’s trying to keep fundraising momentum going. He needs to fundraise for his legal defense. “

Isn’t he a Multi-Billionaire?

There is no court with the authority to do what you want done.

That’s because there’s no “Presidential election” in the Constitution.

Presidents are elected by 538 voters who meet in State capitals the second Monday in December. Those voters are appointed by their State Legislatures, which are the bodies with exclusive power over that process.

On December 14, 2020 306 of them voted for Biden and he was elected.

I don’t think state courts have power over legislatures for this. I’m SURE Federal courts don’t - that was the whole point of taking the appointment of Presidents away from Congress and the Executive in the first place.

Your arguments don’t lead anywhere.

Smith and Willis should stop litigating it.

I’ve read them. The charges are based on assumptions that can’t be proven, because they are incorrect.

For example, they refer to “falsified” documents and false statements. But what they are calling false are any claims of election fraud - but there was fraud, so such foams are not false. They refer to illegitimate slates of electors - but there is nothing wrong with assigning alternate delegates. And so on, and so on.

If you think these indictments have any merit at all - or if you think that the same actions taken by a Democrat or RINO would be prosecuted - you are deluded.

This is what the indictments are all about, so he feels a need to set the record straight.

So we’re not winning the next election. Guess there’s no reason for Trump or anyone else to run. Oh well.

It’s you who is deluded if you think the outcome of this case isn’t already decided.

It’s you who is deluded if you believe enumerated said anything at all about the outcome. Yours is a ad hominem attack.

Trump is accused of trying to overturn an election when he knew full well he lost fair and square. They are claiming that wise people told him is was all legit so he knew he was wrong and was plotting an insurrection. That is the conspiracy he is charged with.

He is not re-litigating 2020, he is presenting evidence of election irregularities that did occur which lead him to truly believe the election results were fraudulent. The end game is showing he had legit reasons to believe the election was fraudulent. So yes Trump is finally gets to litigate the 2020 election but that is the fault of the DOJ. The DOJ and GA AG opened the door for this to happen. Legal Insurrection is generally very neutral and concerned with the law. However they seem bipolar on this issue. I believe Turley and Dershowitz both pointed out in so many words the DOJ opened this door.

Way too many of you are being surrender monkeys.

It’s really sad. FR used to be the home of rock-ribbed conservatives. Now we have noodle-spined quitters.

The guys a moron. Does he really believe that once the deep state gets away with it once that they'll stop? It's far better to shine the light on the corruption so that if they tr it again it will be obvious to everyone.

Spoken like a true Republican. After each election. Just let the Democrat Party remain in charge and we will take the crumbs and scraps they throw to us and continue to be their whipping boys. If you had been paying attention, you would had seen that no Court would hear evidence of wrongdoing.

Trump won’t be on the ballot and he won’t be able to campaign from prison.

I expect they will put him in ADX Florence and not allow him to communicate with anyone.
