1st, last, security deposit and real estate person you have 4 months of rent just there. The real estate finder’s fee is a shock if you are not aware of it, but you can negotiate this down sometimes.
I went through this a few years ago when my daughter moved there after college. I had to co-sign and pony up cash, her mother did too.
