That’s all anyone needs to hear. Notice how the story never tells what is in the offending book. It just quotes the fired propagandist and the SPLC. This story was an obvious press release from the SPLC.

It was the school’s fault for having the book fair and it being part of the book fair. There was not a point where she accepted that as the teacher, she would be responsible for anything that entered that classroom.”
The SPLC is a ‘hate’ group.

So kids that want to become cops or soldiers can bring toy guns to school again, like they used to? I'll bet teach would be strongly adverse to those kids being, "true to themselves."
why is a “teacher” reading a book based on the notion of interchangeable human sexes when the sole function of a teacher is to teach the three R’s? how did this mixed up person get a teaching license and teaching position in the first place? LONG past time to vet the vetters that seem to only want the perverts teaching. small wonder they dont want the parents involved.

“Gender” is a term associated with grammar. It has no relevance to persons. The word “transgender” is meaningless when dealing with words and even more idiotic when attempts are made to use it in referring to the sex of males and females.
After being informed of this, any teacher who still applies gender to persons in the classroom is hopelessly woketardian and should be fired.
Fifth graders would understand books on environmental regulations or corporate contract law just as well as gender diversity. I bet most of the kids were looking around the room wondering which boys weren’t boys or girls weren’t’ girls.
