Los Angeles is just depressing.
I was there in May.
Santa Monica, Venice Beach, those parts of central LA that WERE good, now aren’t. Its now all closed storefronts, “youths”, homeless.

Lapd is short 1000 officers right now Chicago PD is short way more than that. Additionally, their brilliant idea to stop funding the 1500+ unfilled positions and shifting that money elsewhere. (They refuse to say they're defunding the police, yet that's what they're doing.)
I swear to almighty God the only mayor dumber than Karen Bass is Brandon Johnson in Chicago.
