Sounds to me that he has NO CLUE as to what he’s doing. He had a CLEAR #2 position, but I guess he had no clue as to who the Republican base was and what they wanted. So he listed to the big donors and that effectively ended him in national politics, at least as a Republican.

Stupid is a strong word - to me it’s more like simply not being interested. Someone had noted that he barely understood Florida issues during his debates against Gillum.
Tells me that politics simply doesn’t interest him. Lots of people are like that, but virtually all of them understand to stand clear of national politics. DeSantis wasn’t one of them.
Good Heavens! Doesn’t he know the first rule against criticizing the “Great I Am” about anything? That’s SACRILEGE!
