And 6.1% from Nuclear
These are the kind of Republicans who don’t like Trump IMHO doing this stuff.
If Texas want to be green, build more nuclear power plants. They just built a new one in Georgia.
This is a good lessen in why Red states go Blue.
This is precisely an issue that could cost Conservatives
the loss of a Red State.
The Left will demagogue the issue, as if they didn’t play
a part in the development of wind to replace other tried
and true power sources.
Soft minds will listen and be moved. It sucks, but it
is what it is.
The Rs better figure this out like yesterday, or else.
“Georgia, supposedly under woke Republican leadership, invested in nuclear power and is now benefiting from the opening of a big nuclear plant.”
Uh.... The Vogtle nuclear plant began construction in 1976, when Democrats ran everything in that State.
I don't recall seeing ERCOT on any ballot...
France has 56 operable nuclear reactors totalling 61,370 MWe.
Texas has TWO.
Absolutely pathetic.
6000% increase? What does this mean for the common home consumer? If they get a $100 a month bill normally, what will it be now?
All of us with Central AC Units and HOA’s needs to convince them a few back-up window units might save energy and keep stupid greenie grids up (Also, with all this heat the chances of needing a repair goes up...and time it takes to do the repair too)
AKA The Green RAW Deal.

***********
So Georgia Democrats build nuclear power plants that Texas Republicans are too asleep to build?
Holy molly!
Gee... if only there was a natural way to power utility companies..... like with gas, oil or coal....
Wait until people start dying from heat or cold related conditions.
Blackouts, brownouts....
Does Texas still produce oil? If so, somebody somewhere is burning it, just not Texas. Global effect, same.
Melania: "Oh, sorry honey, the wind's not blowing."
I covered the areas of the Texas High Plains and the Rolling Plains.
Conclusion; was only feasible with the subsidies then in place under Carter.
I would advise them not to institute rolling black outs. We have smart meters, just turn off the electric to non-productive users such as the US Fed Courts, FBI, Dept AG, Dept ED, EPA, Dept Interior, Bureau of Land Management, FDA, CDC, etc.
Better dig more coal.
No nuclear power?
I heard a lot of democrats back in the 90s in Texas switched to calling themselves republicans when it became apparent democrats weren’t going to get elected. That true?
