A few weeks ago, I had lengthy conversations with a Canadian pipeline specialist, aged about 65, who married a Zulu woman, aged about 34. I asked why he was so optimistic about South Africa. He said: "The kids there are so much more knowledgeable than their parents. They have access to so much more information over their phones."
I asked: how is that going to keep the electricity one?
He did not have an answer, except to claim South Africa was not Zimbabwe.
