Dozens of Iranian drones and speedboats swarming two US Navy ships near the Persian Gulf after Washington sent them in to deal with Iran's renewed threat against one of the world's most important waterways, dramatic new footage has revealed.
Iran's navy sent the small vessels to confront the USS Bataan and the USS Carter Hall in the fraught Strait of Hormuz, which sits between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, according to a video published on Saturday.
The speedboats were manned with armed soldiers from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and came within inches of the ships, while drones also taunted the ships and managed to snap pictures right above them.

USS Cole part deux?
I don’t know what compelled me to ask my question, I knew I didn’t want to know. Now I know way too much on the subject.
It worked once. They can’t help but try it again.
Sorta like stealing an election...
You and I know that to be the South China Sea and the Strait of Taiwan. Our national interests there are semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, steel and building materials, and cheap junk that some clutter their homes. These products represent another self sufficiency effort that must be made concurrently with becoming energy self sufficient. It will destroy China’s economy and America will become an overall net exporter. Then our military assets can be brought into defense of the homeland where we always have a national interest.
Make no mistakes about it. The climate change extremists must be crushed to achieve these goals. Energy self sufficiency is key to dominating world manufacturing. It is low cost energy that will allow America to produce superior products at competitive prices. Our GDP will grow at rates not seen before in American history. The growth of the private sector economy combined with the elimination of the vast majority of government, the elimination of most regulations, reform of the Federal Reserve and our monetary policies, and the right-sizing of our military we begin to pay off our debts.
This is the way we become a true world leader. This is the way we spread “democracy”. We lead by example. Others will follow and others will not. I really do not care if others do or not.
