A FedEx driver is being praised after a video went viral showing the driver killing a rattlesnake balled up next to a customer's front door.
A Ring security video posted to social media showed FedEx driver Matt Govier confronting an unexpected obstacle while delivering a package to the Nebraska home of Christie Jones, who had a rattlesnake balled up right next to the front door of the home.
The video shows the rattlesnake slithering up to the front porch of the home and eventually coming to a rest in the corner by the front door. Minutes later, Govier arrives on scene to deliver a package, only to hear the rattling of the snake nearby.

Just think, a child could have been first out of the car and running to the door when coming home and ran directly into the snake.
The driver should be commended for his "toxic masculinity".

A guy in Minnesota was arrested for doing the same thing along a walking path.
Amen to that... if his boss is a liberal he'll probably be fired. Let's hope his boss is a decent person - a conservative.
On the local nextdoor app there’s always someone posting a pic of a snake wanting to know what species it is.......even if it’s a water moccasin or rattler invariably someone will suggest “rehoming” it instead dispatching it.
I really wonder about people sometimes. SMH

Georgia has a large deer population. We have about 20 to 30 that hang out at our place. Yesterday, there were two on our patio eating the cat’s food. We need more hunters to reduce the deer population a bit.
I have had a few surprise encounters with rattlers. Scared the crap out of me.
It’s too bad they are protected here in Minnesota.
