1) Hope they don’t vent it on the evil west ( led by the United States ).
2) The danger is the CCP will deflect the problem away from themselves and channel the anger towards national pride — the reunification with Taiwan.

That was supposedly one of the keys to Hitler’s rise to power. The humiliation of WWI’s punishment to Germany made them ripe for a villain and a hero to regain their pride.
I was told my a Chinese woman (Christian, anti-communist) that the Chinese children are no longer taught daily to hate America. I never believed her but she insisted.
They’ll vent it on Japan. The CCP has been ginning up a lot of anti-Japanese propaganda since Xi took over. Plus, it’s a closer target.
