Wagner PMC doesn’t blame Putin for the Prigozhin assassination, they blame MI-6/CIA

Putin couldn’t afford to let that trash talking punk get away with it without appearing weak.

The problem is that he was competent. The Russian military is incompetent.

The war in Ukraine goes on.

Well Wagner were professional mercenaries and highly experienced so of course they would perform better. They were also much higher paid than the Russian conscripts so were better motivated. As far as the Russian army not being competent I don’t agree.

“President Vladimir Putin has ordered Wagner fighters to sign an oath of allegiance to the Russian state after a deadly plane crash believed to have killed Yevgeny Prigozhin, the volatile chief of the mercenary group.”

LOL

Tell your Putin to stop plowing over Wagner graveyards.

Oh, I think these Wagner soldiers will sign an Oath of Allegiance to Russia. But if it includes allegiance to the Russian generals or Putin, it will be worth about as much as whatever deal Priggy had with Pooty.

Putin would be better off to announce he damn well did order the shootdown, and any perky Wagner fighters should know their families can be next.

For its part, Wagner would likely best roll with the punch, get below the radar as necessary, and figure out what alliances to make while scooping up wealth in Africa.

The interesting thing is that Wagner had a fairly flexible sort of organization with Prigozhin and a few people at the top, then a lot of “commanders” with substantial independence.
Prigozhin’s own attitude was said to be (by Lukashenko) “To hell with it, if I die, I die”. What I don’t know is how the “horizontal” communications and cooperation might now work.

then a lot of “commanders” with substantial independence.

One of them would have to be like Colonel Qadafi. But this is Russia. That's not going to happen.

I don’t think it will happen in Russia. Outside of Russia, at least initially. Wagner could foul up Pooty’s plans in Africa quite substantially.
