Cannot help to think that the more the Leftists try to get rid of Trump, the more non-Trump GOP voters (other than Operatives, of course) will migrate towards, as we’re now seeing.

The Section does not mention the President it only mentions ELECTORS OF THE PRESIDENT.
The section also mentions OFFICES UNDER THE UNITED STATES. The Presidency has never in US history been considered an office UNDER the United States. In fact David McKnight’s 1878 study of the Electoral System of the US, mentions that it is obvious that the Presidency is NOT AN OFFICE UNDER THE UNITED STATES. Being that this was written only twelve years after the 14th Amendment, it bears more relevance than opinions now 145+ years later.
