LOL. I was actually considering posting that Mr. Williams’ death cert may yet indicate it was Covid, or an adverse reaction the shot.
Sad - reminds me of Steve Courson who played for the Steelers back in the steroid era. He was cutting down a tree on his property when the wind shifted and he got crushed by tree.
Yes, that sounds about right.
I know an offensive lineman who had a career with the Bengals. He's about williams age and played in the late 2000's and 2010's. Probably had about the same earnings. He is a country boy, from a church-going family, didn't have a "posse" or a baby-momma, and didn't have expensive tastes. Married his college sweetheart and has 3 kids.
He saved all his NFL earnings, and bought/runs a golf-course and winery, which is his new career.
What happened to all the millions he earned in the NFL?
It’s a disgrace that the NFL does not require all players to employ the services of competent money managers.
I can't see the NFL ever getting close to such a thing. They want zero responsibility for the future financial, and especially physical, health of ex-players. It would be a minefield.
Our son is a wealth manager, at one time he managed several NFL players money. These guys are young, want it all, will not listen thinking they have hit the forever jackpot, they have family members bleeding them constantly. A contract for eight million is everything to kids who grew up with nothing.
I had heard his dog got loose while he was cutting that tree and in the process of chasing it got hit by said tree.
Someday you may actually read an article. A steal beam fell on him. I’m pretty sure the beam didn’t get the vaccine. Although you may believe that it did. Lol.
Re: 6 - good grief. Whatever.
:-P —— this icon indicates that the post is a joke.
Oh. I’ll remember that. Thank you!
A friend came to visit from Oregon and told me he was talking to a black gentleman at the airport while waiting for his flight , the man was a airport employee cleaning the waste baskets they started talking about the previous nights football game and my friend said to him “you look like you played a bit of ball in your day” and the guy admitted he actually played for the NY Giants back in the day... I won’t say his name but I looked it up and it was true he was a great player but had to work hard for his money now.
Ha. You’re welcome!
