The most common manifestation of it is the comments or quotes from people about there being enormous amounts of oil in some place or another.
The word enormous gets said and the source walks away. If you grab him by the arm and ask how much, like with NPRA, he’ll angrily yell 600 million barrels!!! That’s right, 600 million barrels!
The US consumes 20 million bpd. The world about 100. So that 600 million is a month of supply. And then what?
